I just kinda need to get something off my chest here. this is just kinda like a personal thing I’d just like to share.
well, i am kinda starting to see that most game reviewers are really bias and unsound with their reviews. often, when i see a game and curious if i should get it, i look up reviews. often, those reviews are bias to strongly favor or disagree with the game. most often they give false info on the game, only give positive or negative points on it without giving sound details for their reasoning, and they sometimes blame the game for a mistake they made without retrying it to confirm if it was truly the game’s fault. they also don’t seem to not fully play the game and review only after small progress of the game and not letting themselves get used to the game they review. personally, it just seems like game reviews now are just being lazy with their reviews and don’t take much into consideration, and that often makes a game look bad just because of that reviewer.
and often the reader of these reviews don’t think about the writer’s points and just impliment their bias thoughts as true, which is kinda sad that they are purely basing the game by someone who makes poor reviews with bias information, poor wording, and being one sided.
personally, if it were me reviewing a game, first, i would play the game normally without any help while taking notes of anything i find that might be either good or bad. then after beating it, i will write down my evaluation of what i thought about the game and noting any problems or special moments that i personally had with it and give advice on how it could be fixed. i would also take note of my wording and make sure i give points in multiple perspectives and use any examples or specific details to make it sound and reasonable.
so yeah. just had to get this off my chest and just vent this out.
